In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 music and podcast apps on iOS in the United Kingdom showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower reveals how these apps performed over the quarter.

Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at around $276K in the final week of February. Weekly downloads saw a decline from 40K at the start of the quarter to approximately 24K by the end. Active users also showed a downward trend, starting at 620K and ending at 549K.

YouTube Music had a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching a high of about $169K in late February. Downloads decreased from 23K in late December to around 13K by the end of March. Active users, however, grew from 2.27M to 2.51M over the quarter.

SoundCloud: Discover New Music saw a steady revenue increase, peaking at $139K in the last week of February. Downloads showed a slight decline from 26K to 20K. Active users fluctuated but remained strong, starting at 2.95M and ending at 2.96M.

Deezer: Music Player, Podcast maintained a consistent revenue trend, peaking at $81K in late February. Downloads remained stable, averaging around 3K per week. Active users hovered around 650K throughout the quarter.
